ALYSSA HUBER - BIO

Hey there! I'm Alyssa Huber, a freelancing filmmaker, writer, and creative dreamer. I'm also a college graduate (Judson University) with my B.A. in Media Creation and Production.

My aspiration to become a filmmaker started at a young age, when I was about 10 years old. At the time, I was obsessed with superheroes and sci-fi, so I wanted to make a movie about superheroes. I wrote a script and everything, but I didn't have a camera. So I had to wait.

At age 15, I had a new obsession: pirates. The swashbuckling kind. With the help of a fellow writer and friend, I wrote another script, this time for a comedy-adventure pirate movie. I had a camera this time, so I got some friends together to shoot some scenes. Three years later, Cursed Waters, my first amateur film, was the result. It also made the news!

While I was in college, I decided to produce a documentary on Asperger's Syndrome. It initially began as a simple trailer for a short film project in one of my media classes. I eventually pursued it as a longer documentary film titled Through Our Eyes: Living with Asperger's. This project was important to me, as I myself am on the autism spectrum and want to spread awareness and understanding of Asperger's.

I hope to keep producing my own films, since I really enjoy it!
